This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) outlines the role of the Expert Council for the Indonesian Crime Prevention Institute (LCKI) at the national level. The Expert Council serves as a scientific authority and strategic advisor in formulating comprehensive crime prevention policies and programs.
🎯 I. PURPOSE
To provide scientific foundations, strategic analysis, and policy recommendations to the Chairman and the Central Executive Board of LCKI in order to support the effectiveness of crime prevention programs in Indonesia.
💼 II. MAIN DUTIES
- Provide research-based and expert input to the central management.
- Prepare scientific studies and policy recommendations on crime prevention.
- Serve as a resource person in scientific activities, seminars, and LCKI training.
- Draft academic papers for cooperation with government institutions and international partners.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of LCKI’s work programs.
- Prepare scientific publications and strategic institutional reports.
📋 III. WORK PROCEDURES
- Studies and Recommendations
- Prepare thematic studies based on emerging crime issues (narcotics, terrorism, cybercrime, etc.).
- Submit recommendations to the Chairman and Secretary General.
- Review work programs prior to implementation.
- Scientific Activities
- Act as a speaker in seminars, focus group discussions (FGDs), and internal LCKI training.
- Prepare educational materials based on scientific knowledge for the public and institutional partners.
- Participate in national and international forums related to crime prevention.
- Program Evaluation
- Conduct periodic evaluations of LCKI’s work programs.
- Prepare impact analysis reports and activity effectiveness assessments.
- Provide recommendations for program improvement and development.
📌 IV. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain objectivity and integrity in providing input.
- Ensure the scientific quality and relevance of prepared studies.
- Represent LCKI’s scientific authority in public forums.
- Report study results and evaluations to the Chairman on a regular basis.
