This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Community Policing Division of the Indonesian Crime Prevention Institute (LCKI) defines its role as a bridge between society and the institution in efforts to prevent crime through participatory and sustainable community-based approaches.
I. PURPOSE
To build active partnerships between communities and LCKI in creating safe, orderly, and crime-free environments through educational, collaborative, and preventive approaches.
II. MAIN DUTIES
- Develop and implement community-based crime prevention programs.
- Establish cooperation with community leaders, neighborhood associations (RT/RW), schools, and local organizations.
- Provide legal and social education to the community.
- Prepare activity reports and social impact evaluations.
- Act as a liaison between the community and LCKI management in reporting potential crimes.
- Encourage citizen participation in social activities, neighborhood security, and advocacy.
III. WORK PROCEDURES
- Program Planning
- Identify local community security and social needs.
- Prepare activity plans such as legal counseling, neighborhood security training, and community forums.
- Draft budgets and schedules together with regional management.
- Activity Implementation
- Carry out educational and preventive activities within communities.
- Actively involve citizens in discussions, simulations, and training.
- Document activities properly (photos, attendance lists, reports).
- Community Partnerships
- Maintain regular communication with community leaders, youth, and local organizations.
- Draft MoUs for cooperation with community partners when necessary.
- Report activity results to the Regional Chairman and Secretary.
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Prepare reports on social impacts and citizen participation levels.
- Conduct surveys on satisfaction and effectiveness of activities.
- Provide program development recommendations to the central management.
IV. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain good relations and community trust in LCKI.
- Ensure activities are carried out inclusively, ethically, and educationally.
- Submit activity reports regularly to regional management.
- Represent LCKI in community forums and social activities.
