This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) outlines the role of the Board of Trustees for the Indonesian Crime Prevention Institute (LCKI) at the national level. The Board of Trustees functions as the guardian of the organization’s direction and core values, providing moral and structural oversight of the institution’s operations.

🎯 I. PURPOSE

To establish work guidelines for the Board of Trustees in carrying out its functions of guidance, moral oversight, and institutional strengthening, ensuring that LCKI continues to operate in line with its vision, mission, and fundamental principles.

💼 II. MAIN DUTIES

  1. Provide strategic direction and guidance to central and regional management.
  2. Safeguard the consistency of the institution’s core values, ethics, and integrity.
  3. Offer considerations regarding national policies and work programs.
  4. Approve or reject major policies that impact the organization’s direction.
  5. Serve as an honorary liaison between LCKI and national figures, government agencies, and civil society.
  6. Support institutional development and leadership regeneration.

📋 III. WORK PROCEDURES

  1. Organizational Guidance
  • Provide direction to the Chairman and central management in official forums.
  • Deliver written or oral advice on strategic issues.
  • Act as a balancing force in the internal dynamics of the organization.
  1. Policy Approval
  • Review and approve major policies such as amendments to statutes/bylaws (AD/ART), regional expansion, and strategic partnerships.
  • Provide considerations regarding the appointment or dismissal of central management.
  1. Moral Oversight
  • Ensure the institution adheres to principles of honesty, fairness, and professionalism.
  • Issue warnings or recommendations for corrective action in cases of ethical violations.
  1. Evaluation Forum
  • Attend Board of Trustees meetings at least twice a year.
  • Provide evaluations of annual reports and management performance.
  • Offer recommendations for institutional strengthening.

  • Serve as a role model in ethics, integrity, and moral leadership.
  • Provide input and evaluations objectively and constructively.
  • Support the reputation and credibility of LCKI at the national level.
