ICPF DKI Jakarta
Background Of ICPF
History of its Formation ICPF
Comprehensive crime prevention to create dynamic security in a democratic society.
✨ Motivated by the founders’ sincere love for the police profession 👮♂️, which will never fade as long as they live, as well as an awareness of the community’s need for security, tranquility, and peace ✨ which are fundamental needs that cannot be eliminated, ignored, or even replaced, it is the aspiration of every individual in society to have police who can protect, safeguard, and serve in addressing problems and crimes or violations of order that affect themselves and others.
⚖️ On the other hand, it is fully recognized that the current situation and conditions of the police force, with a ratio far below the UN standard (1:400), will make it very difficult to provide satisfactory service to the community. Meanwhile, the British Police 🇬🇧, which is well-known and supported by modern equipment and an ideal ratio (1:300–400), is still unable to provide maximum security, protection, and service without the active participation of the community itself. Crime, whether conventional or transnational, including terrorism, still occurs there.
💡 It started with gatherings and exchanges of ideas. Thus, the idea arose to establish a foundation or NGO 🤝 as a platform to channel various ideas and thoughts to support the tasks of the Criminal Justice System (CJS), particularly the Police 👮♂️, so that the public’s hopes for gradual improvements in public safety and order can be realized.
🌟 On the other hand, the initiators have also learned that the establishment of the ACPF is more about the desire to build a prosperous society without crime 🕊️, so that crime prevention becomes a higher priority than crime control.
🧠 When talking about crime prevention, we cannot ignore the causes or factors that determine the occurrence of crime. As we know, crime is the result of failure or unsuccessful handling of various social problems ⚠️ and can occur from an early age, even from the womb.
These failures may be in the fields of education, religion, economics, or other socio-political fields.
🤝 Crime prevention is a matter/concern for everyone in society, more than just a security issue. It is also the responsibility of every level of government, from the central to the local 🏛️, as it is closely related to social issues and effective funding efforts.
In short, crime prevention aims to improve the quality of life of every member of society 🌱 and must be implemented in a cross-sectoral and multidisciplinary manner.
🚀 Given the importance of crime prevention efforts in order to create a prosperous, safe, and peaceful society ✨, the initiators, together with their seniors and colleagues, finally agreed to establish the Indonesia Crime Prevention Foundation (ICPF) 🇮🇩.
This institution is expected to serve as a facilitator in crime prevention efforts that require cooperation and integration of various disciplines, to view and approach crime prevention issues comprehensively, in order to create dynamic security in a democratic society.
